Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

The end of an era?

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins“, the 4th movie of the Terminator series has now come out and can be watched in movie theatres throughout Germany. I was able to watch this movie yesterday and I think it was fantastic. But first I will provide a short summary of the plot.

The story is set in the year 2018. Humanity is at war with machines and is on the brink of losing. John Connor (Christian Bale) leads an attack by the Resistance (the Human resistance organisation) on a Skynet base. John discovers human prisoners and the plans for the development of a new type of Terminator incorporating living tissue. During the attack, the base explodes and John is the only apparent surviver. However a second man emerges from the wreckage. It is the man that was introduced in the beginning of the movie. His name is Marcus (Sam Worthington) and in 2003 he signed his body over for medical research following his execution.[.....]

These are the characteristics that best describe the nature of a Boxer:

Most people that do not know Boxer  think that Boxer are ugly because of their “weird-looking”  face. As a matter of fact, Boxer actually have the most expressive face in the dog world, thus one can read all of their emotions.

In adition to that Boxer are very athletic, so one can have lots of fun with them and do all diferent kinds of activities with them. Moreover Boxer have strong protective insticts and thus are predestinated to serve as watchdogs.

An infernal shocker

Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) works as loan officer at a local bank in Los Angeles where she leads a happy life with her boyfriend Clay (Justin Long). At work she finds herself in constant rivalry with her colleague Stu (Reggie Lee), competing for the position as the assistant manager in their local bank.

For this reason Christine denies the wish of an old gipsey lady Mrs Ganush (Lorna Raver) to get another extension on her mortgage, in order to show her boss that she can make hard decisions. As the old lady starts begging, kneeling in front of Christine, Christine pushes her away shaming the old woman in public. Mrs Ganush therefore places an evil curse on Christine, which will ultimately end with Christine being dragged to hell by the evil demon Lamia.

The French Open

The fall of the “Clay King”

The “Unbeatable” was beaten. Well if you don´t know who I am talking about, I am referring to the guy that had not lost a single game at Roland Garros since his first appearance 5 years ago holding the record of  31:0 consecutive victories. You still do not know who I am talking about?

Well let me tell you then. I am referring to Rafael Nadal the Nr. 1 ranked player in the ATP. He was beaten by the swedish Robin Söderling (ranked 32th) in the 4th round of this years French Open.

Well since the “Clay king” is gone who is going to win? Will Roger Federer finally be able to win the only Grand Slam tournament he has not yet won? Or will one of the other remaining 3 take Nadals place in the history books of the French Open? [......]

“Angels and Demons”

Not a must-watch!

“Angels and Demons” the movie, the second of Dan Brown´s fantastic bestsellers, has finally come out and can be watched in movie theaters throughout Germany.

Angels and Demons

I must admit that I am a big Dan Brown fan, thus I was thrilled to watch”Angels and Demons” as soon as possible. And so I did last Friday.

Unlike “The Da Vinci Code” movie, which I find was total failure, “Angels and Demons” actually is a good movie. Less special effects, more plot.

However, having read the book, the movie “Angels and Demons” doesnt even get close to being as fascinating as the book was, but I guess thats the fate of movies that are based upon famous books.[.....]

Dallas vs. Nuggets (4)

BYE BYE Dallas!!! Next year, Next try.

The Dallas Mavericks are out of the play-offs. But they lost with dignity and pride, as they did a very good job in the last game of series against the Denver Nuggets, who I believe are very much likely to even make it to the Finals this year.

Despite a good perfomance of the Dallas team especially of Dirk Nowitzki again, scoring another 32 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists, they were not able to fight off Carmelo Anthony and his Denver Nuggets.

With this 4:1 victory over the Mavs, the Nuggets are now moving on to the semis, in which they will either face the LA Lakers or the Houston Rockets (series tied 3:3).

Dallas can yet be proud of their overall perfomance, after a rather weak regular season, overcoming their crisis of always losing in the first round of the play-offs by beating the San Antonio Spurs. Dallas will come back next year and will do even better.[.....]

Mavs vs. Nuggets (2)

Dallas down 3:0

How can u lose a game, leading 105:101 with only 31 seconds left? Ask Dallas!!! unbelievable…….

Whats wrong with Dallas?

After their 3rd loss against the Denver Nuggets the Dallas Mavericks are facing yet another early elemination in the playoffs? But what is the reason for that? Is it for the quality of the team?

I highly doubt that as I believe that the Mavs actually have a very good team. In my opinion the reason is that this current Dallas team simply lacks fighting-spirit. They really have to work on that and also on their defense.[.....]
